A US based biotechnology company which has developed radically new types of armor for vehicles, law enforcement and government personnel, and civilians.
Current body armor and vehicle armor is built around three materials which have been developed over the last half century - Kevlar, Ceramics, and Metals. None of these materials alone has the optimal combination of low weight and protection against stab threats, handgun bullets and rifle bullets.
The company has spent several years developing new bioinspired materials which can outperform current materials, require simpler manufacturing, and will be competitive in price when mass-produced.
This base-material is available as a waste product of the food industry, and millions of tons of it are produced each year, so costs are minimal. It is naturally light, and when combined by their processes with inexpensive and widely available polymers, shows extraordinary protective properties.
Using an oceanic derived biomaterial, they have two classes of unique armor:
- One class is considerably lighter than steel and protects against both handgun and rifle (7.62) bullets. It also has the unique property of protecting against radiation, including gamma-rays and x-rays.
- The second class is lighter than Kevlar, and protects against both handgun bullets and knife attacks. Additionally, it also protects against radiation.
A patent has been recently issued in India and the materials are patent pending in the US, Israel and several other countries. Copies of the India patent text are available upon request.
The company is searching for partners who can assist in completing development and mass-produce this unique armor material.

The hangers are manufactured from Class 3 galvanized, high tensile strength spring steel for maximum strength and corrosion resistance, then receive a thick PVC coating that provides added safety and protection for cables. Their Integrated Grounding system uses specially designed messenger wire and L-brackets to act as the ECG and GEC, and does not require any special tools or equipment for installation.
