Cooling wearables that protect people from extreme heat based on a material that's powered by water, not electricity
We're an early stage startup based out of San Francisco, and the company mission is to build hard tech solutions for health-centered climate adaptation. Today, our Corp has a product prototype that has been validated by preliminary testing in the lab and on a few users, as well as two pending patents. Our goal is to protect vulnerable communities hard-hit by the effects of climate change, and our contrarian offering is a decarbonized and
cost-effective product that saves on electricity and installation costs. The founder is a physician (Penn) & materials engineer (MIT) who has spent the last decade of her career on global health work across all continents, including teaching high school in Ashdod, Israel in 2017.

Our product achieves two aims:
1. Prevent the development and onset of heat illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke;
2. Provide a decarbonized and portable solution to human cooling as an alternative to air conditioning.
We're seeking pilot partners to implement the technology and evaluate its impact in summer 2025.
Example 1:
distribute the cooling wearable to elderly patients / residents in Israeli hospitals / nursing homes
and collect data on decreased # heat-related emergency department calls, equivalent thermal comfort to air
conditioning, etc.
Example 2:
Employers (construction companies, agriculture networks, factories) distribute the cooling wearables to their workers to increase labor productivity & financial bottom line.
Our Advantages:
- Proprietary, patent-pending technology that is completely free of electricity, refrigeration or any special storage conditions.
- We provide high performance (long-lasting and convenient prevention of heat illnesses) with cost effectiveness ($15 / user / month, no electricity consumption costs).
- Existing solutions are ineffective (provide relief but not actual temperature reduction); inconvenient (ice packs are heavy, melt, need freezer access); and/or expensive (active cooling devices & exoskeletons cost a few hundred dollars each).
