Agro Products - Miraa/Khat

We are a women owned business enterprise dealing with general trade in supplies to food manufacturing companies in Kenya. We have also ventured into farming and we have Miraa farms in Meru County, specifically, Igembe area. Our Office for trade is located at Kangeta, along Meru-Maua Road. This area is occupied by generations of farmers who have diligently cultivated this crop over decades ago. Miraa is a significant in the Meru culture and traditions surrounding marriage and social events. It was made available for trade due to its quality to other cultures in Kenya and around the world. Our interest in Miraa is inspired by the need to grow the economic welfare of it's farmers who have suffered oppression by middlemen due to in access to the distant and export markets.

Our product is Miraa/Khat. This is an organically farmed and a plant with cultural heritage among the farming community of Meru County in Kenya. Our organization seeks to expand the Miraa market by providing a link to the farmers and reducing middlemen to increase gains.

In return, we would like to increase land yield for the farmers using technology from Israel and incorporate mixed farming.
